Sorry to not have been around much recently. My father passed away in March and I’ve only been online sporadically (estate stuff & work). I’ve been thinking about buying a new watch. One that would specifically need to be low/no maintenance, *not* reply on batteries, water resistant, and keep the date. I’m not sure to just buy a case of wind […] View
  • There isn’t a ”reply” button that I can see for LS’s post, but as long as someone is asking…. One really good aspect about this show, is that it has helped me look more critically at my own preperations.

Thanks very much. He was 77, and had lung cancer as well as developing dementia. He was buried with full military honors at Quantico National Cemetery. My wife bought me a nice display case for his flag, and we’re getting a display case for all of his medals.

        • I was given my grandfathers flag. One of my most important possessions. I’ve just recently started to research his WWII/military career. Unfortunately it was something he didn’t talk about much But I do have quite a few documents that my grandmother had saved over the years.

Pluses and minuses need to be weighed depending on your circumstances. One potential drawback to having a working vehicle in a post EMP society is that this would make the vehicles highly desirable, and you might find yourself in a position of having to defend the vehicle repeatedly. Of course, I imagine that the same would be true for horses,…[Read more]

If you hear anything about the price, or when it will be available, let me know. I’ll do the same. I sent an email to get on their mailing list.

Looks like a really terrific product. Even though the product is still in development, it would be nice if the company would post an estimated price or price range. I will definitely purchase one as long as it’s not obscenely expensive.

I just got back from Louisiana – I was picking up a hound dog; drove back in two days. Incredible views of the mountains on the way home. I think I wouldn’t mind living in Tennessee or southern VA. I am still planning on doing the video inventory though. I have started, and the one thing that became immediately clear is the many, many things I…[Read more]

I was functionally ignorant of the rifle other than what I read online a moment ago. It sounds like an impressive rifle with a proven history. Are you looking for a particular variant?

I don’t mind at all. That’s an excellent suggestion! Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will point out items I need & don’t have or the items that I have that are inadequate, or in the wrong quantities. etc.. I know I have a LOT of work to do though. I’m obviously better prepared that the average bear, but building a full inventory of…[Read more]

  • Going to re-inventory all my supplies while I’m off from work the next couple of weeks. This time, I’m numbering & making labels for all of my containers, with the itemized list on the underside of each (numbered) container lid. This way, I’ll be able to designate as “checked out” or add items, etc. Once done with that, I can make sure that…[Read more]

    • How’d the inventory go?

Gallery space is set to 50mb currently, Max image size is 2mb, this may change depending on how it affects server loads. But since we don’t have much traffic it should be fine.
